XPass 2 Air Firmware

This release enhances user synchronization for BioStar Air environments, aligns device behavior with Suprema firmware standards, and improves network configuration stability.

Key Features and Improvements​

Authentication​

  1. Supports authentication using users and access levels stored locally on the device.

  2. Server-based authentication is not supported in this version and is not required for normal operation.

User Management​

  1. Added user synchronization capability.

  2. Users and access levels are stored directly on the device through synchronization.

System and Firmware Behavior​

  1. Firmware is based on Suprema XPass 2 base firmware v1.5.0.

  2. Device behavior, including LED indicators, is aligned with standard Suprema firmware.

Compatibility and Migration​

  1. Compatible with BioStar 2 environments.

  2. Firmware upgrade is supported from v2.9.0 and earlier to v2.11.2.

    • Downgrade to earlier versions (e.g., v2.9.0, v2.8.1) is not supported.

Firmware Transition Notes​

  1. Devices can transition between Suprema firmware v1.5.0 and AIR v2.11.2.

    • Legacy models (AEM, AE-MC, AE-MU) are not supported when upgrading to Suprema firmware and may become unusable.

      These models must remain on BioStar Air firmware v2.9.0 or earlier.

  2. Improved automatic setting of device timezone to site timezone during device registration via mobile app.

  3. Improved local storage of event logs when mobile connection is unavailable.

  4. Improved tamper status On/Off reporting issues.

Bug Fixes​

Airfob Edge Reader Mullion-Specific Fixes​

  1. Fixed an issue where the sound was not played when opening the door with LinkPass credentials if the warning sound was set to short.

  2. Fixed an issue where time errors occurred on the device when disabling Daylight Saving Time (DST) configuration.

  1. Added video gateway functionality.

  2. Supports user authentication by entering RFID card values through the XPass 2 keypad.

  3. Improved API error counting to only count actual API response errors, not timeouts

  4. Improved resetting of device time and language settings during initialization
