Fire Alarm Zone

This guide describes how to set fire alarm zones. A fire alarm zone is a designated area where all doors or elevators are set to open or lock when a fire occurs.

Register fire alarm zone​

  1. Click Settings on the Launcher page.

  2. Click Advanced AC on the left sidebar.

  3. Click ADD ADVANCED AC.

  4. Select Fire Alarm and click Apply.

  5. Enter the name of the fire alarm zone to be added in the Info section.

  6. Set the details of the fire alarm zone in the Settings section. For more information, refer to the following.

  7. Set the actions to be performed when a fire alarm occurs in the Alarm section.

  8. After completing all settings, click Apply at the bottom of the screen.

Setting options guide​

You can modify fire alarm zone settings.

  • Set the scope of the zone with Mode.

    • Local: You can set the zone only with the entry device and devices connected via RS-485.

    • Global: You can set the zone with all devices registered to BioStar X.

  • Enable or temporarily deactivate zone settings with Enabled / Disable.

  • Select the doors to designate as the fire alarm zone with Door.

  • Select the elevators to designate as the fire alarm zone with Elevator.

  • Click + Add and set the devices to trigger fire alarm signals with Device / Input.

Info

  • Setting the Mode option to Local allows you to designate only one door or elevator as a fire alarm zone.

  • Setting the Mode option to Global allows you to designate both doors and elevators as fire alarm zones simultaneously.
